John David Rulon, Architect
This residence is located near the top of a ridge on a beautiful site with views of forests and vineyards and filtered vistas of the Napa Valley below. The home is primarily one story with a second story guest suite above a three car garage.
The great room features a pyramidal shaped wood board ceiling with a central cupola and surrounding stone walls. The central cupola provides even natural light to the entire room. Sliding pocketed doors and screens are featured at the primary public rooms and provide seamless links to outdoor spaces.
The house wraps around an intimate central court yard. An adjoining entry motor court leads to the the main entrance. Several outdoor terraces with fountains and landscaping are located around the house and provide differing outlooks and experiences.
